CONDITION: VG/NM

SLEEVE: VG, see pics for some cover staining. There is also the beginning of a split on top right corner. Probably exposed to moisture on front and rear cover.

RECORD: NM, record is fantastic. I play-graded both sides. Only some light surface background noise in parts. Looks glossy and shiny! Labels are very nice, a little bit of an application error on one side, appears like the paper has a score in it.

COMMENTS: Killer record from the mighty Ron Carter! This was originally issued on the New Jazz label in 1962 and goes for big bucks. Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in NJ, this copy is also mastered by the great RVG (Van gelder stamped in deadwax). This collaboration between Carter, Dolphy and pianist Mal Waldron also features another bassist George Duvivier, and the under-recorded Charlie Persip on drums. This reissue from only 2 years after the original sounds just as excellent thanks to the RVG mastering and nice heavy Status label vinyl.
