Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition vinyl LP originally issued on the Blue Note Records label in 1960 and featuring an outstanding April 17, 1960 session by alto saxophonist JACKIE McLEAN titled "Capuchin Swing"--the quintet recording features BLUE MITCHELL on trumpet, WALTER BISHOP, Jr. on piano, PAUL CHAMBERS on bass, and ART TAYLOR on drums. The LP is a Blue Note records issue pressed in the mid- to late 1970s on the blue and white label with the serial number BST 84038, is a TRUE STEREO issue (the Electronically Re-Recorded Stereo indication on the upper right of the back cover is NOT accurate--this is common with true Stereo issues of this vintage) and was made in the United States.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition and plays beautifully, with just at paper scuffs that do not affect play and NO other significant imperfections; the cover is also in NEAR MINT condition with just a few light paper scuffs that should not affect play and NO other significant imperfections; the cover is in NM- (Ex) condition with very light ringwear on the front surface, a slight ding and crease on the lower right corner of the front cover, light dings on the upper and lower center spine edge, ,a very slight, 1/4 inch split on the lower opening edge and just light shelfwear but NO other significant flaws --it's NOT a cutout! The ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE INNER SLEEVE is also included and in beautiful shape.
Please Note: I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $4.00 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
