Karlheinz Stockhausen - Stimmung 

Stimmung, for six vocalists and six microphones, is a piece by Karlheinz Stockhausen, written in 1968 and commissioned by the City of Cologne for the Collegium Vocale Köln. Its average length is seventy-four minutes, and it bears the work number 24 in the composer's catalog.

It is a tonal, and yet also a serial composition.  It is "the first major Western composition to be based entirely on the production of vocal harmonics", the first "to use overtones as a primary element". An additional innovation is "the unique kind of rhythmic polyphony which arises from the gradual transformation/assimilation of rhythmic models".

Comes with inner sleeve notes containing the English and French translations of the sleeve notes.

RETURNS

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please return the item within 30 days of placing your order and a refund will be issued. Refunds are subject to the item being returned complete, as sold and at your own cost. I advise using a tracked service for returns.

GRADING VINYL

These are my own grading criteria, so please ensure that you are satisfied with these descriptions.

MINT (M) The item is new, sealed and unplayed.

NEAR MINT (NM) The item is as new and the vinyl shows no marks or scratches, although it may have been played. The over and inner sleeve are in perfect condition and any additional elements are present in like new condition.

EXCELLENT (EX) The vinyl shows no evidence of hairline marks or scratches, but there is evidence that the vinyl has been played. The cover and sleeve are not damaged, but show some light signs of being used. Any additional elements are present and show very little signs of use.

VERY GOOD (VG) The vinyl shows some evidence of being played and has some light hairline marks. The cover and inner sleeve have some evidence of wear to edges/creasing etc. or there are some other signs of use. Any additional elements might not be present or are present with signs of use or elements missing.

GOOD (G) The vinyl shows signs of scratch and marks and will possibly produce some surface noise when played. The cover and inner sleeve have some creasing and corners and edges of the covers and inner sleeve have some damage and may be broken. Any additional elements may not be present and those that are, will have significant damage.
