THE BIRTHDAY PARTY - The Bad Seed. Mint 12" rare Aussie pressing 1983 POWT 2007
This is a mint copy of the Australian pressing of The Birthday Party’s The Bad Seed EP, released by 4AD in April, 1983.
These 4 songs - Sonny's Burning and Wild World on Side 1 with Fears Of Gun and Deep In The Woods on Side 2, were recorded by the band in Hansa Studios in Berlin in October 1982, with engineer Tony Cohen.
This pressing was part of the distribution deal between 4AD and the Powderworks label in Australia and was manufactured and distributed by RCA Limited in April 1983.
This 12” EP has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve in a climate controlled room since 1983. It has never been played and I only took the record out of its sleeve for the first time today, to take the photographs, so the labels and vinyl are pristine.
