We are thrilled and honoured to be offering for sale a number of items from the late Stan Tracey's own personal collection on behalf of his son Clark Tracey. This includes many extremely rare albums, some purchased by Stan during his time in New York, plus test pressings and other gems collected over his lifetime as a musician and composer.
A super rare copy of Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus on the collectable English Esquire label, no 32-045. Released in 1958 using the American metalwork, Rudy Van Gelder's initials are etched into the deadwax- see photos.
The heavyweight record has been Degritter cleaned and the vinyl has retained a deep glossy shine with only a few light scuffs and faint lines  - nothing remotely feelable and nothing that affects playback. This is in superb condition for the age as the photos show. We have graded EX.
The vinyl plays through beautifully with almost no noise, just warm and vibrant mono sound that is typical of Esquire pressings. 
The outer sleeve is really good. No laminate lift! There is the usual discolouration and a tiny crease near the spine but no splits, writing, tape or tears.
The original heavyweight inner sleeve is still present & doing a great job.
The record will be sent separated out in an archival outer sleeve to prevent transit splits.
A rare opportunity for a collector to own a copy of this wonderful album in super condition.
