The Miller Sisters set on Sun and Flip #504 “SOMEDAY YOU WILL PAY” twin records. Flip was the Sister company to Sun. Many of the Flip records were Sun recordings as well. Most notable artists were Charlie Feathers, Roscoe Gordon and of course the Miller Sisters. This auction is for the pair, each one very rare (Maroon Flip being preferred over the shiny Flip label) and of course the Sun recording. The records are in beautiful condition and each are hard to find, especially in VG+ to M- conditions. I have sold each of these in the past for over $500/each, you are now bidding on the set.

As I go through one of the largest collections of Sun records I decided to do some things differently. Selling Sun #186 ‘53 Prisonaires with the ‘56 variation noting the differences. Eddie Snow and Charlie Feathers Dj samples with production copies. I realize now why my father was so enthralled with the Sun Studio story and how the music created there changed everything in the music industry. I wish he had finished his book. I can only piece together the notes he spent the majority of his lifetime writing. Hopefully I can put something together and pass it on to someone who can finish his work. Well back to the sisters now. This is one of two pairs of Miller Sister record pairs I’ll be releasing. The records will ship together in thick 45 specific boxes with cardboard squares and bubble wrap. A pretty cool combo to own, I think anyway. Thanks for looking and check out my other listings from Sun, Checker, Chess, Imperial and so many more! -Monroe Rare Records

All records are play tested on an AT-120x with upgraded stylus, one for 45/33’s “ML” and an “SP” for 78’s. I will also take very detailed pictures with bright lighting and zero filters. Most of the time my pictures will show the grade and description themselves.

Grading Scale-

(M-) My highest grade, a gem quality like new disc with full blazing gloss. Record was only played a handful of times, will show marks made by 50’s paper sleeve removal and possibly the beginning of a ring on label. Some labels were more prone to this than others. Record was properly cleaned and stored. I do not use “Mint” for 60+ year old records. A M- grade is a top collector piece.

(VG+) Can occasionally be “strong VG+” in certain instances. A very nice, above average record. Will show signs of use such as eyelash paper sleeve scuffs and/or ring wear. A very nice above average record. Vinyl retains the majority, if not all of its original gloss and playback is excellent. A collectable record.

(VG) Vinyl displays more scuffs but gloss is still present. Playback still has nice fidelity. Eyelash sleeve scuffing around most of the surface. There may be some very light surface noise and/or a tick or very slight warp (should be identified in description) but plays all the way through without skips.

(VG-) Vinyl has many more scuffs and some scratches (will be noted in description) but most will still have gloss left, others may not so refer to pictures. Many of these often play quite well and make acceptable options, until a better one comes along. After test playing, I will note any specific issue. If not noted, disc may playback with some minor surface noise and/or ticks

(G+) Close to the same as a VG-, the playback far surpasses its looks.

(G & G-) I do not sell these grade records online.
