GRADING
Please, read them!
When there are specific imperfections on a record I will mention them together with the grading.
Mint
Record: only when the record is sealed
NM
Record: the vinyl is shiny and looks as good as new. A few minor flaws are possible, nothing more.
Sound: plays clean, maybe a minor sound can be heard, that's all.
Cover: as new.
EX
Record: the vinyl still looks shiny and clearly has only been played a few times or handled with great care. A few light scuffs and/or a few small hairlines, nothing more.
Sound: plays clean with occasionally a small tick or a short, soft sound, nothing more. Except for the first song, there you can hear now and then a soft surface noise and 2 plops due to the fine lines there. The surface noise is not dominating.
Cover: excellent with a little wear => See photo's.
VG+
Record: the vinyl still looks shiny but has clearly been played, you can see some soft marks and some fine lines. Especially over the first song you can see the most fine lines.
Sound: still sounds very good with now and then 1 or 2 ticks and/or now and then a soft surface noise. Nothing that is infecting playback.
Cover: still very good with some wear => See photos.
VG
Record: there are several fine lines and/or several soft surface marks or swipes visible over the surface.
Sound: the sound is still good with now and then a short patch with soft ticking, a soft plop and/or now and then a soft surface noise. The sound is still dominating the imperfections.
Cover: still looking good with signs of use => See photos.
G
Record: you can see many hairlines and small scuffs across the surface, the surface is no longer 100% shiny.
Sound: sometimes a mild surface noise and/or some short patches of minor, sometimes, mediocre ticking with maybe a plop here or there. No loud crackle, no loud plops. The needle doesn't skip. Overall, the music is still dominating these imperfections.
Cover: there is some wear on corners, edges and/or spine. There can be some small splits (max 0,50 cm) next to the inlet. There is some surface-wear like ring-wear or maybe some discolorations.
Fair: only when the record is a very rare one
Record: the surface is dull, there are lines, scuffs and/or swipes across the surface.
Sound: there is a moderate surface noise, throughout or intermittent, and/or some patches with serious ticks and/or plops. The record doesn't skip. Hear-play is infected in some zones, but the record is still fine for general listening, nothing more.
Cover: there is real wear on corners, edges and spine. There are splits in the seams, serious ring-wear, or surface-wear. Look at the photo to have a better idea of the condition.
