Album review:

Listening to this LP, the first thing that meets your ears is a lovely GREG GUIDRY feeling in the song “Love has taken it all away”. Quite soft westcoast pop, also reminding me of PAUL CLARK. And my smile just gets bigger when “Somethin’ right” follows, because it is right up the alley of ROBY DUKE’s best songs! Now, with names like Paul Clark and Roby Duke you probably already guessed it: yeah, it’s a Contemporary Christian Music item, most certainly.

Well, the list of musicians is in itself a good way of convincing you into getting this LP. How about JOHN FERRARO, LEON GAER, DAVID DIGGS, PAUL JACKSON Jr, RICHARD PAGE, STEVE GEORGE, DAVE BORUFF and a couple of other guys? And with “Within His joy” sounding like the 1981 album by CHRIS CHRISTIAN, “Serious” with lovely PAGES and MICHAEL McDONALD vibes – well. I guess there’s not much more I need to say.

 

This 1982 LP is on "Emerald Records".
