CHET BAKER AND STRINGS;  Columbia CL 549, Original 1954 Deep Groove Maroon Label.  Mono.  Chet Baker, trumpet with Zoot Sims, tenor sax; Russ Freeman, piano; Bud Shank, alto sax; Joe Mondragon, bass; Shelly Manne, drums and Strings conducted by Shorty Rogers.  Vinyl is VG+, clean, with original glossy sheen, a few light marks and some sleeve wear.  Random play grade is VG+, nice dynamic sound with light surface noise in places.  Labels are clean with light wear around spindle hole and previous owner initials etched in side 1 (does not obscure any writing).  Jacket is VG+, front solid, light wear; no splits or tears, light wear spine and spine corners; back with light discoloration, previous owners name and original price written upper right (does not obscure any text or graphics).  Rare find.  Very decent copy!

Owner Byron F. Greatorex comes from a 40 year history of collecting, buying and selling records, including ownership of two previous independent stores in Vermont and Maine. Each LP purchased will be cleaned on a VPI Professional Cleaning Machine before shipping. Our grading system is essentially the same as in Goldmine with one exception.  We use EX (in lieu of VG++) for vinyl that is between VG+ and just this side of Mint-.  
Spirit of Sound ships, in good faith, via USPS.  We combine shipping for multiple purchases.  To insure customer satisfaction, we will include Tracking on all domestic orders, thus the modest shipping/handling increase.  We encourage our international buyers to include insurance and delivery confirmation (registered mail) when choosing a shipping option.   Barring this choice, we will ship in good faith at buyers risk.
