Lucille Ball, Raquel Welch, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (on behalf of her mother Judy Garland) and the estate of Marilyn Monroe all threatened to take legal action over the use of the images printed on the inner sleeve. Several compromises were made including blurring the images but Lucille Ball and Raquel Welch were still not happy and a complete withdrawal of the artwork was the only solution.
But it's not only the artwork which offended; Jesse Jackson called the album "vulgar and obscene" due to its language and 'racial stereotyping' and asked Atlantic boss Ahmet Ertegun to withdraw the record. He responded by reminding Jackson that the Stones had built their career on the propagation of black music

Clean, bright, unmarked labels - less than a handful of light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces shine like-new - a few superficial marks are visible (on the rims) but these are totally harmless
VINYL Audio: MINT
My play-check at loud volume found nothing to fault - immaculate sound performance throughout with no audible distractions of any kind - crystal clear, rich, sharp and detailed and one of the finest sounding Stones albums of the period
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The sleeve is crisp, clean and fresh with no damage to any of the (many) die-cut sections
INNER SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
Printed on thick card with opening thumb notch and rounded corners the inner has both the catalogue number CUN 39108 (I) and G&L printers credit and is again, like-new with no seam splits, just a little record impression
