Info: Pierre BASTIEN (born Paris, 1953) post-graduated in eighteenth-century French literature at University Paris-Sorbonne. In 1977 he built his first musical machinery. For the next ten years he has been composing for dance companies and playing with Pascal Comelade. In the meantime he was constantly developing his mechanical orchestra. Since 1987 he concentrates on it through solo performances, sound installations, recordings and collaborations with such artists as Pierrick Sorin, Karel Doing, Jean Weinfeld, Robert Wyatt or Issey Miyake and Aphex Twin!!!


This is a the first "Nu Creative Methods" lp from 1978 They use  different musical sources: flute, saxes, recorder, ethnic percussions, accoustic bass, clarinet, prepared piano, electric guitar, metallophone,.. so atypical and creative!!

M = Mint (still in new condition, no imperfections, a Perfect Copy !) 

M- = Near mint (imperceptible wear, full vinyl gloss) 

EX = Excellent (only very slight wear and paper scuffs, vinyl still glossy with very rare noise) 

VG++ = Near Excellent (light surface noise and wear but fairly minor, vinyl still plays nicely) 

VG+ = Very Very Good (Evident groove wear or minor scuff marks, surface noise noticeable but does not really affect the playing) 

VG = Very Good (Wear and scuffs are more evident and many surface noises are noticeable) 

VG- = Good to Very Good (heavy groove wear or scuffing, plays noisily)
