SS/VG++ (Record/Cover)
The Fireballs
“Come On, React!”
ATCO Records SD 33-275
LP Released in 1969
A killer record from some original kings of surf rock. Recorded by Norman Petty, who was kind of like the John Peel or Jack Endino of his time: well-known for his characteristic studio perfection, and had previously launched Buddy Holly’s career. This was The Fireballs’ last studio album before Jimmy Gilmer left, and is still a great artifact of the time. Additionally, this copy is STILL FACTORY SEALED! A great find, and looks practically brand new.
Tracks:
A1 Hurry, Hurry
A2 Codine
A3 Come On, React!
A4 Light In The Window
A5 It's Easy For Me
A6 Woman Help Me
B1 Mr. Reeves
B2 Good Lovin's So Hard To Find
B3 Get Out My Life Woman
B4 Lonely Too Long
B5 Little Bitty Bucket
B6 Louie, Go Home
The grade of the record is Mint, it is unopened and unplayed. The cover grades to VG++ with small dings on the corners, a very light soft bend on one corner and a tiny drill hole in the upper left (about 1/8th of an inch). And strangely enough, there is a small bit of text scribbled with a ballpoint pen underneath of the shrink-wrap; it had to be there since it was sealed, and reads “3 x 100” (you can zoom in on the photo of the cover and see it top center). The cover has bright artwork, and looks very nice for 43 years old. And, of course, the record inside has never been touched.
