Title - Wilmer & The Dukes
Artist - Wilmer & The Dukes
Label & Release # - Aphrodisiac, 6001
Size/speed - 12", 33 rpm,
Vinyl condition - There's a little light hiss at the very end of the 2nd side. All else is M-.
Sleeve condition - Light rings. Rear has light shelf soil. No splits or even much edgewear.
Note: This was a band out of the Geneva NY area. Starting out in the early 1960s, they played the colleges and college town bars for over a decade and drew a huge following. I remember them in '69 or '70 at Gilligans and the Inferno in Buffalo. They only made this one lp and a couple singles but those had a lot of air time on East coast radio stations. These guys were the kings of the garage bands.
Grading -
M = Perfect (seldom found unsealed)
M- = Played but still looks perfect
VG++ = Very faint scratches or scuffs that don't affect play
VG+ = played with care, tiny scratches, light surface noise not heard over song
VG = well played, surface noise heard during song, light scratches but no skips
VG- = very well played, scratches and scuffs, surface noise throughout, but no skips
G = lots of scratches and noise
P - filler till a better one comes along
Note: Tone can very greatly from player to player and setting to setting. I hear in the upper register and need the treble low, while my friend likes it higher to hear a wider range. A song he thinks sounds great sounds like a 1969 transistor playing an AM station to me.
Record guarantee - if it doesn't play - return it.
