This album was purchased used in the very early 60s.
The disc is in excellent condition and plays perfectly without jumps and no more than a handful of faint, random clicks throughout. The run offs are engraved with RVG and PRLP-7078-A (or B)
Prestige Records supplied Esquire with the dies to manufacture the discs.
The partially laminated thin card outer sleeve is sound, without splits or tears. Three shallow creases to the front, the most apparent at the upper RH corner, one near the spine, lower LH corner and a shallow one above "Tommy Flanagan". Clear tape at the edges of the slot has resulted in faint staining. The back has a few finger marks and approximate playing times have been written in ink next to the song titles (not guilty)
Titles: St.Thomas, You Don`t Know What Love Is, Strode Rode, Moritat, Blue Seven. Personnel: Rollins tenor, Flanagan pno., Doug Watkins bass, Roach drums. Recorded: 22 June 1956
With volume very high & scratch filter off, seven additional very faint clicks detected on Blue Seven, 2 @ 260sec, 2@ 285sec and 3 @ 5min.
