The item that is pictured is the exact item that you will receive. I could not get a good light on the pictures so I tried different angles, but the album is in great shape and can be a conversational item displayed prominently in your home or office.

Question from eBayer about 1st pressing 1st edition
That is a very good question, which prompted me to research. For starters I have owned this LP myself since the mid-80s when I was in college and I kept it in a clean climate controlled, non-smoking environment the whole time. So we now it is at least that old. The research shows that the first pressing first edition should be on Epic label with the year 1982 printed the words “also on cassette” printed on the back along with the usual CBS Inc and Epic trademark and copyright language. The UPC code on the top right of the back cover should be 0-7464-38112-1. In addition, first press first editions do not have any stickers on them blocking the photo of Michael Jackson on the cover mentioning song lists, Grammy or Gold/Platinum awards. My item meets all of the above criteria. In fact, there has never even been a price tag or store sticker (or sticker of any kind) on my album and of course, there is no sticky residue stain from a sticker being taken off.
The last way to identify first pressing is by opening it and checking the label inside to ensure it says QE 38112 inside. I cannot do that without breaking the seal and I am not willing to do so.
History shows that sealed 1st press 1st edition Thriller albums have sold for way over $1000 each. My asking price is very reasonable for the true collector. I am actually pricing it as a 1982 version of the Thriller album, even if it wasn’t the 1st pressing/1st edition. If you bought it and opened it and then decided to return it because you did not think it was a first edition, the returned item would lose about 60-70% of its value and I would not be able to resell it at my current asking price. I hope you understand and will bid with confidence
