This is the 3 LP set that was originally recorded on August 1 of 1971. This is a FIRST PRESS GORGEOUS STERLING !!! Apple STCX- 3385
This is my wife's copy and like many things, she purchased it , played it MAYBE once and put it on the side. I don't think I ever played this copy until yesterday. My copy is long gone ?
I just listened to the entire 3 LP collection and it is nearly FLAWLESS !!! There is no surface noise and the vinyl looks close to what a new one looked like in 1971. This LP has probably been played no more than 3 times. You will only hear the needle in two places and they are faint. There is a few second very light ticking at the beginning of cut 1 on side 6. There are 2-4 seconds during the applause at the beginning of cut 2 on side 4. The 3 LP's are Mint with those two exceptions. There is no audible needle - not even in between cuts. This was the first in a series of benefit concerts featuring all world Rock and Roll artists and in this case an all world sitar player !! George Harrison  and his sitar playing friend, Ravi Shankar gathered up this all world group to help bring aid to the folks in Bangladesh.   The group included Ringo, Clapton, Dylan , Leon Russell, Billy Preston, the group Badfinger on acoustic guitars and many other folks. This was Dylan's first public appearance in 5 years. Plenty of different interpretations of familiar tunes with different personnel. I remember feeling bad for Ravi that night.  This show took place during a time when smoking was still permissible in public areas and certainly at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Anyway, Ravi asked for no smoking during his segment and apparently every one in the crowd thought he said fire another one up ??? This Vinyl Looks and Sounds GORGEOUS !!! Side 1- looks Excellent/ Side 2- looks Excellent to Near Mint./ Side 3- looks Ex to NM Side 4 - Looks Excellent / Side 5- looks Excellent To Near Mint. Side 6 - looks Near mint !!!  The Box set cover is Excellent. The textured cover and textured brown inner sleeves are Excellent !!  The art work on the front cover is Excellent- the rear is blank and would not focus and there are two very light finger prints and the writing on the side of the cover is Near Mint !!!! THERE IS NO BOOKLET _ THE BOOKLET IS NOT INCLUDED !!!   Please see ALL  Photos !

I have play tested every listed album using Goldmine & Metrowax as my grading guides and the ratings are based mostly on what I hear.  I purchased every album brand new and always removed the shrink in an attempt to avoid warping, (Old wives tale?) and all were played on a top quality turntable with a diamond needle.

The LP package will be bubble wrapped and shipped in a pro grade LP box..
