Terri Dean
Adonis / You Treat Me Like a Boy

Label: Laurie 3032

Condition: EX very shiny!

Great copy of this original pressing! A-Side is an answer record to Frankie Avalon's Venus; b-side is a rocknroll tune.

This 45 comes from an amazing collection of over 1,000 45s I recently purchased from the original owner in eastern Connecticut. The collector grew up in CT and bought all his 45s from a Bridgeport record store in the late 50's and early 60's. The manager of the shop put aside the latest releases, national, regional and unknown and he came in each week and bought what they had regardless of who it was! The collector was a big Buddy Holly and Fats Domino fan (he saw Fats in CT in 1960!) but there's tons of great obscure R&B and doowop 45s in this collection too. Be sure to check my other listings for more records from this one-of-a-kind collection!

USA: $3.75 for the first 45 via first class, $1 for each additional.

About me: I'm a 60's R'n'B DJ and collector. I'm thinning down my collection to make room for new acquisitions. I grade my records based on how I would BUY them, not how I want to sell them.

GRADING (based on Goldmine)

Near Mint (NM or M-)
The record should show no obvious signs of wear and will be glossy/shiny. A sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. No cracks, scratches or warps.

Excellent (EX or VG++)
One or two light marks visible on the disc at most, otherwise full gloss. No cracks, scratches or warps. Sleeve shows 1-2 marks, nothing too major, maybe at the edges.

Very Good Plus (VG+)
A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled.

Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Maybe also slight warps that do not affect the sound.

Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly bent corners, or a slight seam split.

Very Good (VG)
Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)
A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches and groove wear. Tape, writing, seam splits, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
