This is an original, signed and numbered by Norman Granz 78 record and photo folio, "The Jazz Scene", recorded on Six 12" Mercury 78-RPM records. Four of the 6 records are Mint and look unplayed and they are as such:
The Duke Ellington Sides - Mint and looks unplayed The Neal Hefti Sides - Mint and looks unplayed The Lester Young Side & The Coleman Hawkins Side - Mint and looks unplayed The Ralph Burns Side & The George Handy Side - EX (if not NM) and looks to be the only disc that was played The Charlie Parker Side & The Willie Smith Side - Near Mint and almost perfect The Machito Side & The Bud Powell Side - Mint and looks unplayed
The folio measures 12 1/2 X 15 inches and is spiral bound. It has many full page photographs of the jazz greats of the time and a beautiful double size fold out drawing by David Stone Martin. The exterior of the set has some very minor wear iand is EX in grade.
This is number 4522 of 5000 signed and numbered by Norman Granz.
Some of the pages are yellowed but the photographs are stunning.
