ZUBIN MEHTA
"This is one of the famous recordings that helped made a star out of Luciano Pavarotti. It also includes his now signature aria, "Nessun dorma!" (No man shall sleep!), which "The Three Tenors" always use to end their concerts.
The sonics are phenomenal in most ways, equaling the finest of the previous operas on the list. The sound-floor is very low and the crescendos overwhelming. The only problem is the voices are sometimes strained and compressed at higher volumes. Highly recommended. This album is also on the TAS list." - Arthur Salvatore
