Long awaited vinyl release of this 2004 doom masterpiece. This album is nothing short of a mesmerizing combination of melodic, atmospheric passages coupled with slow, rumbling doom laden guitars. The vocals range from mournful chants to reververating death growls, exploring all facets of sorrow and despair. These deep and somber songs encompass a wide range of sounds and emotions. From beautiful acoustic guitar to low death vocals.

The lyrics are deep and poetic, and not fantasy based like in the past. The music is very slow and uniquely epic. There is a harsh yet mellow feel to the sound. This is something that MUST be listened to all the way through, you can't pick and choose tracks. The band truly outdid themselves with their expansion into more melodic territories. There is almost a romantic feel to the music as well, as if it was written by someone longing for an end, to what is unknown and for the listener to discern.

Black Metal isn't the only kind of Metal to play while wandering through the dark woods at night as this album shows us. This is highly recommended to all Doom fans as they will surely find something of great interest here.
