Dizzy Reece - Star Bright. This is an original 1st Blue Note MONO pressing. Catalog # BN 4023, RVG and ear in the dead wax. Thick wax, deep groove, 47 W. 63rd NYC address in the label. This is the real deal, and it has been well-loved, to say the least.
Media = G. There are marks all over both sides of the LP. Some are light, and some can be felt with a fingernail. There is surface noise on track 1 that abates as the record plays through. Every track sounds better than the next, but there is surface noise to varying degrees throughout on side 1. Side 2 sounds WAY better than side 1. Light surface noise in some places, but way better than side 1. It played all the way through on my turntable with no skips, and it's not absolutely horrible, but there are certainly flaws. If you want a cheap, original pressing to listen to, and as a partial place holder, then this one is it. Once again, it can be spun and listened to, but there are definitely issues.
Sleeve = G. Seam split on the top halfway across the sleeve. Corner wear. Former owner put tape on front and back of LP. I have removed it from the front, but some remains on the back. There is also a stamp from the Ebony Record Shop in faded black ink on the back. This sleeve has many issues. Check out the pics.
Once again, only auctioning because of the sheer stupidity scarcity of these original pressings. I know someone will be happy to have it since the price is right. Low starting bid, no reserve. Any questions, or concerns please ask! Thanks!
