LISTING TITLE LINE [Repeated above] Shows / Artist / shop number / Title / [# = obvious fault] [Status – U=used N=unused retail shop stock that was new when stored in 1991 – both subject to condition codes] / [c=circa] Year made / NEW or General Condition Codes – defined below – one letter each for Vinyl A / B – Label A / B – Sleeve Front / Back / Format / Tracks (2+) / Label & Catalogue number / – [Inner sleeves graded at end of last line of description.]

Scans are of actual item offered [or 99% the same]. All items have been checked, cleaned, played & recorded to note timings and sound quality.

VINYL SOUND QUALITY CODES [at the end of track times above] – Please note vinyl sound quality is judged ONLY on what it sounds like – not what it looks like ! Vinyl may not be 100% central on spindle or 100% flat & may have light surface marks or even small pressing blemishes. Sound quality grading of individual tracks starts with the sound element of the General Condition Code as shown below – followed by a minus code to try to describe exactly what you can expect to hear. For example 'M' sounds near perfect [for the standard at the time of recording – see notes about reissues below]. The track volume covers most of the ever present background [hiss and ticks] of vinyl passing under stylus – very light background will still be present between tracks, on Fade-In, Fade-Out and on very low volume parts of tracks.
M-Q = Quiet parts of track have slightly more noticeable background occasionally audlble. /-QFI /-QFO same for Fade-In / Fade-Out.
M-QK = very light click (half average track volume) M-K = light click (within average track volume) M-BK = big click – louder than track /-KK = 2 light clicks close together /-Kx2 = light click for 2 revolutions /-Kx4sec = light click each revolution for 4 seconds / -4K = 4 separate light clicks. Also RIK = Run-In click(s) / RON = Run-Out Noisy [Noted when close to track] SFI = Start Fade-In / EFO = End Fade-Out / KLY = crackly [or multiple separate light clicks].

GENERAL CONDITION CODES [Ignoring # obvious fault] – AS IN LISTING TITLE LINE – Combine with Scan & Description above for fullest details of item condition.
NEW (no codes) = Top Grading – Item is Brand New [Mint] – Vinyl unmarked – No background audible on tracks – Labels & Sleeve Brand New.
M = MINT MINUS – Vinyl will have a few very light surface marks but sounds near perfect for the time of recording / manufacture. Occasional very light background (Fade-In,Fade-Out & Quiet parts) is forgiven. One light double click allowed per side before downgrading to 'X' Labels & Sleeve near new.
X = Excellent – Vinyl probably sounds almost as good as the day it was made, but slightly less perfect than 'M'. Vinyl will have more light surface marks with light background audible in places. A short light scratch per side or a couple of separate light clicks per track allowed before downgrading to 'V'. Labels & Sleeve near new but sleeve will have impression marks of vinyl edge & label ring from years in storage. 'SS' = Shop display sleeve also has light spine creases.
V = Very good – exactly that – somewhere between 'X' & 'G' [Demoted 'N' vinyl / label / sleeve will have problem / damage detailed in description above.] Used vinyl will usually have more surface marks, background noise or slight deterioration in sound quality through use – Labels & Sleeve slightly damaged stickered or tagged.
G = Good – vinyl still plays well but background noise / surface marks and general wear and possibly distortion are obvious – Labels & Sleeve also show signs of being well used.
F = Fair [for the more genteel collector – apparently] – for the rest of you it's the word you first thought of & vinyl is offered purely as a Filler !
D = Damaged label / sleeve. DR = Damaged Repaired / Reinforced sleeve – with glued plain paper strips.
CC = Card / LC = poly-Lined Card / PP = Plain Paper – sleeve – white unless shown in scan – all graded XX.
KJ = Inkjet sleeve – either a one sided chickaboom shop display sleeve or a scanned & printed copy of an unusable [or duplicate] original picture or company sleeve. Print is not waterproof & colours are weaker than the real thing – also any original damage will show on inkjet copy of a one-off item.

PAYMENT – via Paypal please. For single item only choose postage and use checkout. DO NOT PAY IF BUYING MORE THAN ONE – ask or wait for invoice to save on P&P where possible. Feedback appreciated and returned.
REISSUES general condition code refers to current vinyl – not the original source quality. Sound Quality code will have a second code or comment [in brackets] after the first if the quality of the source is less than it should be for the recording date. Some source material – especially for 1950's reissues into the pre-digital early 1980's were often dubbed from original 78's / 45's or sourced from raw & basic old recording tapes or acetates.
PICTURE DISC & Foil Sandwich disc reproduction quality is not always as good as conventional solid vinyl. The thin clear outside layers usually have slightly more background crackle and any uneven content within the vinyl layers can cause light thumps – especially die cut internal shapes.
CHICK-A-BOOM shop price stickers were removable when they were stuck on 20-30 years ago, but will probably damage sleeve surface now.
