This item is not for sale. Gripsweat is an archive of past sales and auctions, none of the items are available for purchase.
Available now is a RARE full 13-album RCA Victor Red Seal Records Set in two intact binders of BEETHOVEN SONATA SOCIETY, made in England on the iconic gold print/Nipper the dog labels of The Gramophone Co. Ltd. Included are albums numbered D.B. 7970-7976 and D.B. 8078-8083. Most albums have a small white sticker on one side that reads MADE IN ENGLAND FOR RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA (several are partially missing).
This set of 78rpm albums is comprised of virgin vinyl, at an average weight of 280 grams per album. I've tested all 13 albums; they are visually and sonically EXCELLENT. There is ONE physical exception--a chip of edge vinyl is missing from D.B.8083--that does NOT compromise the sound (it exists in the dead zone outer margin). However, because of this one flaw I am sale pricing the entire set. See photos--I have included two that show both sides of the vinyl in question.
Included on these albums are: Sonata No. 2 (op.31), No. 3 (op.2), op.54, op.26, op.53. Some have as many as six parts/album sides. You will receive BOTH album books that include a total of 13 albums.
Please use the Zoom feature and inspect ALL photos prior to bidding. We run a music engineering company and take great care and pride in everything we sell!
If interested, check back with my auctions in the near future--I will be listing approximately 20 other older, hard-to-find sets as I assess them for sonic fidelity.
All albums will arrive to you CLEANED and ready to enjoy!
I will mail this set via USPS Media Mail, well padded/protected for shipping. Full insurance is also included.
Thanks for looking!
