Lovely copy of the rare Columbia UK stereo 2 LP set, SAX 2276/77, Beethoven Symphony No. 9, 'Choral', Otto Klemperer conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra. Original Turquoise/Blue and Silver label, YAX 69-15/YAX 70-8/YAX 71-10/YAX 72-4 matrix numbers.

Front-laminated, flipback sleeves both have similar light ringwear, a few light edge creases, a corner crease bottom right at the front, a little corner wear and age-related browning marks on the back. The first volume has more of the brown marks and some laminate loss at the opening edge. This one grades VG, and volume 2 grades EX-. Conservatively graded, as the sleeves are in very nice shape. Original poly-lined 'Emitex' inners are included.

Both records are extremely clean and shiny, very well looked after examples, with just a couple of barely noticeable, very small hairlines. Audio is very strong, with some light crackle at the start of each side soon dissipating. Side one does have some repetitive crackle which settles down after about a minute. A little surface noise in quieter parts, to be expected from these vintage pressings, and a few light clicks, but these do not detract from the wonderful stereo sound. Overall, vinyl grades EX.
