Here is the FULL SET of the Just For Kicks Series of books by the late and great Johnny 'Chester' Dowling.
Only 1,000 numbered copies of each volume have been printed over the past 9 years and the full set is now hard to find. Volume 1 is no longer to available separately due to limited stocks and is therefore extremely rare.   Nothing else mattered in Chester Dowling's early life except rock 'n' roll records and the burning ambition (long-since achieved) to be a ton-up boy. Recalling his life and surroundings from birth in `48, through toys and hospitalised hardship to the fun he had at the local youth clubs, the Teddy-boy clothing, girls and music. One that went on to ride British motorbikes and frequent roadside cafes. Volume 1 could just as easily have been dubbed, 'The Memoirs Of A Yobbo'. One who knew or cared about nothing else but music and as second nature, crafted a career from it. The stories of early trips on record finding missions, dodgy flights, clearing warehouses, being mugged on various occasions along with awkward shop customers to the extreme - but somehow, always surviving the trauma. The best times are chronicled, you may even shed a tear of happiness as you look back over the years and recognise yourself through his witty, yet sometimes heartfelt scribings - all because of these wonderful big books.
