SONNY ROLLINS "Sonny Rollins Vol. 2" Blue Note 1558, RG, DG, P, Mono Vinyl This is the 1957 "RVG"-etched, Deep Groove, "P"-pressing  of  SONNY ROLLINS' "Sonny Rollins Vol. 2" on the 47 West 63rd New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1558. Musicians include Sonny Rollins, J. J. Johnson, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Paul Chambers, Art Blakey. VINYL has very low-level surface noise with infrequent ticks. Some tracks dead quiet. Vinyl Plays very well overall; instruments are clear, very rich, dynamic, powerful, clean and kicking! No feelable scratches or marks; vinyl very glossy. No distortion. No locked grooves. No warps. Minor ticks. Briefly repeating tick Side 2,  #2. The "47 West 63rd labels" are clean with spindle wear. The LAMINATED COVER is in excellent shape, minor peeling at opening. Spine in excellent shape; top one inch beginning to split. Bottom seam: middle beginning to split, top seam: excellent with small splits on both ends of seam. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23" back jacket in excellent condition; small sticker top right, minor aging, see photos.      This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters).
