KENNY DORHAM "'Round About Midnight at the Cafe Bohemia" Blue Note 1524, RVG, DG, P, Mono Vinyl This is the 1956 first pressing, "RVG"-etched, Deep Groove, Flat Rim, Laminated Frame Cover, "P"-pressing  of KENNY DORHAM's "'Round About Midnight at the Cafe Bohemia" on the "767 Lexington Ave NYC" labels of Blue Note BLP 1524. Musicians include Kenny Dorham, J. R. Monterose, Bobby Timmons, Kenny Burrell, Sam Jones, Arthur Edgehill. VINYL plays with low-to-medium level surface noise (staticy) and occasional ticks. However, Instruments are clear, rich, dynamic, powerful, clean. Vinyl looks well-played, w/many hairline marks. No distortion. No locked grooves. No outstanding groovewear. No warps. The "767 Lexington Ave NYC" labels are clean but worn, with spindle marks. See photos. The LAMINATED COVER is in very nice shape. Spine is worn, two-inch splits on both ends. Corners dog-eared. Top seam is worn; one-inch split top left. Bottom seam taped. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 767 Lexington Ave., New York 23" back jacket is clean; tape on lower left corner. See photos.     This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters).
