Jimmy Roselli Love & Naples 2 LPs of Italian Songs - RARE. Like New!
Both records appear to be unplayed: N-Mint! LP Cover was open but still had shrink-wrap on it, so the sleeve is also in wonderful condition. I peeled it off to take these photos of the actual items on offer including the record's surfaces. Ships promptly via Media Mail.
Hoboken-born Jimmy Roselli was one of the most significant Italian-American pop singers of his time during an era of competition from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Vic Damone, & Jerry Vale. In fact, he grew up five doors down from Frank Sinatra who was ten years his senior.
He experienced a resurgence in 1989 and played a series of concerts at The London Palladium, and at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City in the 1990’s. A book in the late 1990’s; “Making The Wiseguys Weep: The Jimmy Roselli Story” is being made into a movie.
His version of “Mala Femmina” is featured twice in Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets. It's spelled "Mala Femmena" here, which also seems to be a correct spelling,
Roselli died of heart failure in 2011, and this two LP compilation is a wonderful representation of his work, and is on Jimmy’s own M&R Records. One post on YouTube says this set was sold on TV.
