ORIGINAL PRESSING (Matrix: TPSA 7504 A-1U / TPSA 7504 B-1U) ON "GRAMOPHONE CO LTD" RIM PURPLE LABEL WITH FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." SLEEVE AND ORIG "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS" POLY INNER. Condition: VG(light storage wear, wear to bottom right corner, a little dirty)/GOOD(lots of light surface marks and spindle wear - it's been played lots). 

First "The Gramophone Co Ltd" UK issue of the classic Deep Purple heavy rock album in used condition and missing it's Lyrics Insert.

Recorded in Montreux, Switzerland, in the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio.

Original pressings have a laminated gatefold sleeve and include a lyric insert. Original issue sleeves are constructed from one piece of card, laminate is oversize and extends slightly into the inner gatefold, later sleeve are two piece and laminate is not visible when the gatefold is open, printed details are the same for both sleeves.
