Black Sabbath were an English rock band formed in Birmingham, England in 1968. Originally formed as a blues-rock band, with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne they began incorporating occult themes with horror-inspired lyrics. 'Paranoid' is their second studio album released in 1970, and contains several of the band's signature songs, including "Iron Man", "War Pigs", and "Paranoid". It is often regarded as one of the most influential albums in heavy metal history, which defined the sound and style of heavy metal more than any other record in rock history.
