ART BLAKEY “A Night in Tunisia” RVG, P, DG, LAM, Blue Note BST 84049 Stereo Vinyl This is 1961, first edition, “RVG STEREO” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, “P” pressing of ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS’ “A Night in Tunisia” on the Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BST 84049. Musicians include Art Blakey – drums, Lee Morgan – trumpet, Wayne Shorter – tenor saxophone, Bobby Timmons – piano, Jymie Merritt – bass. VINYL plays well with light surface noise, some pops and ticks. Plays great overall. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. No skips. Good gloss. A few hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos. LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Some peeling. Corners worn.  Top and bottom seams show cracking, 3 but good overall. Spine clean. See photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23, NY” back jacket shows fading, some stains, sticker, stamp.
