This is the “RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, P pressing of ART BLAKEY’s “The Big Beat” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4029. Musicians include Art Blakey — drums, Lee Morgan — trumpet, flugelhorn, Wayne Shorter — tenor saxophone, Bobby Timmons — piano, Jymie Merritt — bass. VINYL plays very well, with occasional pops and ticks, some repeating. Plays very well overall. No Skips. Good gloss. A handful of hairline marks, a few feelable. The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean with spindle wear. See photos. Laminated COVER is in good shape, some peeling, ringwear, corners worn. Seams and spine largely clean. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, INC, 43 West 61st Street, New York 23, NY” back jacket shows minor wear, handwriting. Please see photos.
