THELONIOUS MONK  "Genius of Modern Music, #2" P, RVG, DG, Blue Note 4013 Mono Vinyl This is the RVG etched, "P" pressing of THELONIOUS MONK's  "Genius of Modern Music, Vol 2" on the "New York" labels of Blue Note BLP 1511. Musicians include Thelonious Monk - piano, Art Blakey - drums (tracks 1-9), Sahib Shihab - alto saxophone (tracks 1-9), Milt Jackson - vibraphone (tracks 1-9), Al McKibbon - bass (tracks 1-9), Kenny Dorham - trumpet (tracks 10-18), Lou Donaldson - alto saxophone (tracks 10-18), Lucky Thompson - tenor saxophone (tracks 10-18), Nelson Boyd - bass (tracks 10-18), Max Roach - drums (tracks 10-1. VINYL plays very well, with occasional pops or ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic  and strong.  A small patch of feelable, hairline marks covering two tracks is visible. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it.).  No Skips. No locked grooves. Excellent gloss.  The "New York" labels are clean.  See photos. COVER is in very good shape, Corners worn. Minor scuffing, large wrinkle lower right. Seams and spine generally clean and solid, minor cracking to pseam, bottom seam looks to have been repaired with red marker. 1" split at lower opening. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket is clean. Please see photos. This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC  CLEANER.
