I grade conservatively on a scale of M (Sealed), NM, EX, VG+, VG, and VG-. I typically will not sell VG- Only Sealed Records are considered Mint.  All records examined carefully under bright light.

· Mint, it deserves (and receives) a large premium over other grades.  LP is sealed in shrink wrap.  Item is new.
 
·  NM (Near Mint) - Usually the highest grade.  Either the item still has the shrink wrap on it but was opened with minimal use or was kept in a plastic holder with no apparent wear.  LP has no apparent wear with a nice shine.  Jacket has sharp art work with no rips or tears (possible very light fading if vintage).  Sleeve/Inner does not have any rips or tears.

·  EX -Looks Mint at first glance but on closer examination there may be some very light surface marks on LP.  Jacket artwork is crisp but bindings or edges may have some minor surface issues or minor tearing, or very light ring wear. Sleeve may have slight tearing.
 
·  VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Surface marks, or light scratches on the record surface.  Great condition little bit more wear than EX.  Jacket may have some art work flaws with moderate wear to be expected with a used item and may have moderate shelf edge wear.  Sleeves/Inners are intact but may have rips where record has come through edge.

·  VG (Very Good) - Still good condition, but more wear than VG+.  

·  VG-(Very Good Minus) -  Larger scratches, or heavy surface marks on LP, Jacket may have significant wear, and/or art work is more heavily worn.Sleeve   has significant wear/tears.
