HORACE SILVER “Blowin’ The Blues Away” RVG, DG, P, LAM, Blue Note 84017 Stereo Vinyl This is the 1959, first pressing, “RVG STEREO” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, P-pressing of HORACE SILVER’s “Blowin’ The Blues Away” on the “47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 84017. Musicians include Horace Silver – piano, Blue Mitchell – trumpet, Junior Cook - tenor saxophone, Gene Taylor – bass, Louis Hayes - drums. Deep Groove VINYL plays beautifully with occasional spots of light surface noise, pops or ticks. Very clean primarily. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Very Good gloss. Very clean surface, one 2” feelable scratch on Side 1, #1 and #2.  The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd” labels are generally clean with tape residue Side 1. And spindle marks. See photos. LAMINATED COVER is in EXCELLENT shape, corners worn. Seams and spine nearly mint. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 47 West 63rd St., New York 23" back jacket shows some wear, largely clean. Please see photos. This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system.
