DONALD BYRD “Fuego” Blue Note RVG, P, DG, LAM, BLP 4026 Mono Vinyl This is 1960, first edition, “RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, “P” pressing of DONALD BYRD’s “Fuego” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4026. Musicians include Donald Byrd, Jackie McLean, Duke Pearson, Doug Watkins, Lex Humphries. VINYL plays very well, with occasional areas of light surface noise. Ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. No skips. Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels show wear, small tears, spindle marks. See photos. LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Top left and lower left corners damaged. Lower right corner, album stock chipped. Seams and Spine excellent. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows wear, stains at top and bottom seams, pencil marks. Top right back jacket shows 10-15 tiny pin/hole marks that do not go through the jacket. Please see photos. This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
