I sight grade conservatively in bright light (unless specified) on a scale of M (Sealed), NM, EX, VG ( I will use + or - as well). I will not sell poor quality records unless there is serious vintage value to them.
**Only Sealed Records are considered Mint.** All records are examined carefully under bright light. Mint, it deserves (and receives) a large premium over other grades. LP is sealed in shrink wrap or/and Item is new.
NM (Near Mint) - Usually the highest grade. Item still has the shrink wrap on it but was opened, or was kept in a plastic holder with no apparent wear. LP has no apparent wear. Jacket has sharp art work with no rips or tears. Sleeve does not have any tears.
EX -Looks Mint at first glance but shows some wear expected with vintage items. Jacket artwork is crisp but bindings may have some minor surface issues, or light record wear marks coming through the jacket. Record may have light surface marks, a few very light scratches, smudges, or light ring wear. Sleeve may have light tearing or minor tearing, or minor stains, fading.
VG+ Most vintage records with good quality will be in this category. Better than normal expected wear on vintage items. Jacket condition has no seams split, but may have some surface light stains, and/or lighter tearing on seams and edges, and/or heavier record wear marks coming through the jacket than would be expected for excellent condition. Good sleeve condition but may have some lighter tearing, and/or and wear on seams. Record will be playable but may have some background noise or popping on some tracks, and shows a little more lighter surface scratches than excellent.
VG - Normal wear for a vintage record item. Jacket artwork has some heavier wear and/or lighter seam tearing, and/or some minor writing on it. Sleeve has more significant tearing or seams are torn. Record has more wear with larger number of lighter surface level scratches that could add some light popping or background noise on some tracks, but record is still playable.
VG- - I use this to describe heavy wear items. Jacket has significant seam tearing and/or significant wear on artwork, and/or high level of writing on it. Sleeve is basically two pieces of paper protecting the record, Record has significant and heavier scratches that will affect play. If I sell a record in this condition it's because the item is very rare and hard to find. Sometimes I will throw a few of these into a lot of records, but they will always be identified as such in the description.
SHIPPING - See my feedback for excellent customer service!!
All records are shipped in a custom cardboard container designed specifically for records and books unless there is a large lot of albums in which case they will be packed appropriately to protect them.
We ship WORLDWIDE, but only through Ebay's global shipping program, and do not accept returns for items described properly as return shipping costs are prohibative. Please always review my pictures and descriptions. I am usually available to answer your questions so don't hesitate to ask!!
