SONNY ROLLINS “Night at Village Vanguard” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 1581 Mono Vinyl
This is the 1957, First Pressing, "RVG" stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, P-pressing of SONNY ROLLINS’ “A Night at Village Vanguard” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1581.
VINYL plays very well, 90% clean, with occasional pops or ticks. Side 2, #1 only has very light surface noise in the left channel. Super clean overall. Ensemble sections are very dynamic, punchy and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Good gloss. Clean surface with a few hairline marks, none feelable. The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd” NY 23” labels are generally clean with owner ink stamp and “J.J.N.” in red marker on both sides. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in very good shape. Corners worn, spine and seams very good, 2” split center of bottom seam. taped end to end, scratches on cover. Back jacket is clean with “J” in red marker. Small stains. Please see photos.
