According to what I've read in an old 1979 (online) issue of the Sylva Herald
from Sylva, NC., the Milford, Ohio High School Marching Band participated in
the 1979 Orange Bowl Championship Band Competition & Parade.
I'm figuring the record & the Orange Bowl are related...just a guess.
