MORBID ANGEL and their CELTIC FROST moment? According to some of the critics, they were aiming for something akin to the wide-ranging, genre defyingmagnificence of ‘Into The Pandemonium’ and  ended up with their version of the alleged disaster that was ‘Cold Lake’…As if! Tom G. Warrior never put a foot wrong, even with the Motley Crue image! In the early days Dave Vincent always had a Glam Rock look anyway, so there is no surprise with the MARILYN MANSON  and  GENITORTURERS like Industrial Rock moments – but MORBID style and lets not forget the influences of guitar hero and band founder, Trey Azagthoth, and his own Electro/Industrial inspirations – ranging from LAIBACH, LENNY DEE (and his Industrial Strength label) to the bonkers, hardest of the hard Techno and the  Gabber genre and beyond… This may not be 'Altars Of Madness' or 'Blessed Are The Sick', but then one could suggest even 'Abominations Of Desolation' is overall better than everything else that followed for sheer individuality and  originality...
