Artist & Album Description: Mose Allison was an American jazz and blues pianist, singer, and songwriter. He became notable for playing a unique mix of blues and modern jazz, both singing and playing piano.

“Creek Bank”, featuring Mose on piano and trumpet (one track), Addison Farmer on bass and Ronnie Free on drums, is his fourth album, released in 1958. Most tracks are instrumental, but he continues to display his wry singing style, including an interpretation of Willie Dixon’s “The Seventh Son”.

Record Grading and Condition: VG (Very Good) There are slight scratches and scuffs on both sides, but the record plays OK with some surface noise.

Sleeve Grading: G (Good) There is slight scuffing and separation around the edges. Age discolouration is present on the notes sides and there is no interior sleeve.

Label & Authentication: The album (32-094/PRLP 7152) was engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, bears his “RVG” machine stamp; but was “MADE IN ENGLAND” by Esquire Records Ltd.

Note to intending buyers: This posting is from a collection of Blues Vinyl LPs of varying quality and rarity bought from the 1960s to early 1970s then stored until now; therefore I have tried to be deliberately conservative in stating rating levels according to eBay guidelines. All feedback will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
