Gentle Giant - Octopus - Vertigo Swirl 6360 080 - 1972 UK First Pressing - Near Mint vinyl
This auction is for Gentle Giant's fourth LP Octopus released on the Vertigo Swirl record label in 1972. This is the original first UK pressing with the fantastic Roger Dean designed gatefold sleeve. Stampers are 6360080 1Y//1 420 on side 1. 6360080 2Y//1 420 on side 2.
The heavyweight vinyl is lovely and clean and just has some very light surface marks where it has been removed from the inner sleeve but otherwise is in Near Mint condition and plays perfectly with no jumps or skips and minimal surface noise.
Both labels are in near mint condition with no writing or tears and very little sign of having been played.
The sleeve is mainly in excellent condition although does have some wear to the top of the spine and a minor tear on the back cover as can be seen from the photographs but otherwise is all intact.
Comes with original Vertigo inner bag.
Now very hard to find in this condition.
Will be despatched in a strong cardboard record mailer.
