This is an amazing set of vinyl LPs: ALL NINE BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES featuring the Berlin Philharmonic, Herbert van Karajan conducting. It comes with 8 records, all in outstanding condition with no visible flaws. There is also a beautiful booklet inside (about 40 pages) that includes details on all 9 symphonies, some amazing photos, and my favorite part, photos of each section of the orchestra with each musician identified. Unfortunately, there were no women in the Berlin Philharmonic then, but James Galway was a member of the flute section!
It is very difficult to part with this item. I am a professional orchestra musician and I was given this just as I was starting my career in the mid 1980s. I no longer have a turntable so someone else should enjoy hearing these amazing musicians.
There are some small scuffs and scratches on the box, but it is otherwise in great condition.
I have a lot of classical vinyl that I am selling so if you're looking for something in particular please ask. Shipping to US 48 contiguous states only. Thanks for looking!
