THE BEATLES
UK FIRST PRESS STEREO COPY
"BEATLES FOR SALE"
PARLOPHONE PCS 3062
RELEASED 1964
STAMPERS 1 GP 2 GH MATRICES -1 -1 KT TAX CODE SIDE 1 CENTRE
VINYL RECORD STILL RETAINS A NICE GLOSSY SHEEN TO THE SURFACES WITH SOME LIMITED HANDLING AND LIGHT NEEDLE MARKS NOTHING TO ME WHICH APPEARS FEELABLE AND WE HAVE PLAY TESTED THE RECORD A COUPLE OF TIMES AND IT WAS GREAT TO LISTEN TO WITH THE ODD POP AND LIGHT CRACKLE ON THE AUDIO BUT MOST OF THE RUN INS AND SPACES WERE QUIET
WE DO PLAY TEST ON A SIXTIES STEREO HI-FI SYSTEM WHICH HAS A HEAVIER PICK UP THAN TODAYS MORE MODERN EQUIPMENT SO YOU COULD GET A DIFFERENT RESPONSE
RECORD LABELS ARE CLEAN AND LEGIBLE WITH A SMALL STICKER MARK SHOWING AT THE TOP OF SIDE 1 BUT THE TEXT IS UNAFFECTED,THE CENTRE HOLE IS CLEAN AND DEFINED AND ANY SPINDLE MARKS ARE CONFINED TO THE RECORD CENTRES
EMITEX INNER IS PRESENT AND SHOWS SOME LIGHT CREASING TO THE CORNERS
RECORD SLEEVE ALTHOUGH A STEREO COPY IS POSSIBLY FROM A LATER PRESSING AS IT HAS A LAQUERED FINISH INSTEAD OF A LAMINATED FINISH AND HAS INTERNAL FLAPS ON THE GATEFOLD ,BUT STILL SHOWS A PINCHED END SEAM AND ALL THE TEXT IS LEGIBLE
