Christ - The Album" was recorded and mixed at Southern Studios, London, between July 1981 and February 1982. The live recording was made on a 4 track machine on the 9th June 1981 at the 100Club, London by Real Time Music.
"BOLLOX2U2/pay no more than 5.00" text on the spine has been replaced with the logo of the "As It Was in the Beginning" remaster series. The logo is also printed under the Crass logo on the front cover.
In addition to the two records, this box set contains a poster and the 26-page booklet "A Series of Shock Slogans and Mindless Token Tantrums".
On this release, sides A & B labels are identical and both read "CHRIST-THE ALBUM". Sides C & D labels are also identical and both read "WELL FORKED".
The final page of the booklet, containing contact information for various organisations in the United Kingdom sympathetic to Crass' cause, is based on a 1990s-era repress, referencing 0171 and 0181 area codes, which only existed between 1995 and 2000.
All material C P A CRASS 1982 Typesetting was by Bread 'N Roses to whom we are most grateful.
