If youre not familiar with these types of records they were available at State or County fairs, for a few cents any passerby can have a voice recording placed onto a record (inside of a booth). Often this was done by persons wanting to mail a recording to friends/family. In general I don't think they record for longer than a minute, if even. This recording is certainly less. It involves what sounds like two teenage girls singing parts of two songs. The first song is about wanting to be single again, the second one is a variant of an old army song (Gee Mom I wanna go), and that dates this recording to the mid 1940's at the earliest (that song was released in 1944). The girls sing seemingly unrehearsed and not necessarily in tune with one another, but thats precisely what makes it so charming.
