We go to estate sales regularly and come across a wide array of unique and rare items. We add to our growing online inventory daily. We pick up new items from all over the world and all over the US. We also have a growing customer wish list. If you'd like to, feel free to add us to your saved seller's list and let us know what you collect and/or need. We’d be honored to add you to our customer wish list.
We ask what we consider to be a fair price for anything we sell and understand that our idea of a fair price may be someone else's 'that's too much' price. If that's the case, feel free to make us an offer and will consider it. We also have sales regularly, so check back often.

We acquired a large collection of classical albums from a few different sellers that we've had for quite awhile. We have around 1,000-1,500 classical albums that we will be listing over the coming weeks/months. Two thirds, or so the albums were acquired from a former DJ at WBLJ up the road in Dalton, GA. Back in the 1960s/70s, the station was on the AM dial and played a ton of classical and jazz. More than half of the albums are radio station promos and virtually every album is in absolutely remarkable condition. Sorry, but I'm an album collector and love jazz, so I won't be selling those.
SINCE WE HAVE AN ULTRASONIC CLEANING MACHINE, WE HAVE DECIDED TO ULTRASONICALLY CLEAN ALL OF THE ALBUMS THAT WE WILL BE LISTING. WE HAVE QUITE THE EXTENSIVE ALBUM COLLECTION, SO WE CLEAN OUR OWN ALBUMS. WE CLEAN ALL ALBUMS FOR 20 MINUTES @ 50 DEGREES CELSIUS (122 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT).
We are NOT professional graders, nor do we offer professional grades on any of our albums. We visually inspect the albums after ultrasonically cleaning them. We do NOT typically play test our albums, but we do on occasion and will note if done so. The ultrasonic cleaning results in absolutely outstanding, jet black vinyl and removes all dust, grime, lint, etc. in the grooves of the album. Ultrasonic cleaning does NOT remove scratches and if they are pronounced enough, scratches will still create pops, ticks, etc. We will note any scratches, or other damage if we see any upon visual inspection.
We will be listing albums that we visually estimate to be in VG playing condition at a minimum and we will provide brief descriptions of the albums, sleeves and covers. If you have any questions, or if you are an overzealous collector who is adamant about condition, please ask ANY and EVERY question before deciding to make a purchase. Our feedback rating is among the best around and that is because we try to be as honest and forthcoming about everything we sell and we will always honor any return request for any reason.
Now onto the item for sale.
For sale is a group of three very hard to find albums released in the U.K. under the Argo label in the 1960s, including:
PROMO G.P. da Palestrina, Stabat Mater, The Choir of King's College Cambridge, David Willcocks, RG 398 DJ, 1964
PROMO Evensong For Ash Wednesday, The Choir of King's College Cambridge, David Willcocks, RG 365 DJ, 1964
Haydn, Theresa Mass, Choir of St. John's College Cambridge, The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, George Guest, ZRG 5500, 1965 - Label Variation
Both David Willcocks Albums are white label promo albums and are incredibly difficult to find. We know you won't find any on here from any seller worldwide and there haven't been any in at least the last 90 days. You may have noticed that the labels include DJ in the catalog number, indicating it is a radio station promo album. It also has NOT FOR SALE on the labels as well.
The Haydn album is the label variation that is also quite difficult to find.
After cleaning the albums, we visually inspected them and they are all incredibly clean with glossy, jet black vinyl. The Haydn album is the cleanest of the bunch and we'd estimate it to be a strong VG+ or EX+. The Willcocks albums have a couple light scratches on each of them with a pretty long one on side two of the Evensong for Ash Wednesday album at about the 3 o'clock position and a short one that is the worst of the two. We included pictures above of both scratches. The scratches, particularly the shorter one, may create some pops when played. Outside of the few light scratches, both Willcocks albums are in outstanding condition. We'd estimate them to be very nice VG albums to strong VG+ albums.
The sleeves and album covers are all in very nice condition with no seam splits on any of them. As you may know, these vintage albums pressed in Europe have very thin album covers that are made out of thick paper stock that is easily damaged. All of these covers have minor wear with the worst being on the Ash Wednesday album, as you can see in the pictures. The sleeves have some yellowing and discoloration, but are in otherwise, excellent condition.
All in all, the group of albums is in excellent VG to VG+/EX+ condition and include two very hard to find white label radio station promo albums and another hard to find label variation album. We trust you won't come across another opportunity to purchase these three albums from one seller ever again.
These albums will be shipped in an album box via media mail with the USPS. We leave our albums inside the sleeves and the sleeves inside the album covers and wrap them in a double layer of bubble wrap for protection during shipping.
Thanks for looking and God bless!
