Patton, best known for being the lead singer of alternative metal bands Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, has been involved in multiple facets of the music industry for years. Crank: High Voltage is the first soundtrack that Patton composed and performed. The soundtrack is a is a non-stop thrill ride – even if one hasn’t seen the film, you can feel the energy expressed throughout, thanks to Patton’s phenomenal work.
Mike Patton ist seit 1988 Sänger von Faith No More; die Band trennte sich 1998 und vereinigte sich 2009 wieder. Zuvor sang er bereits bei Mr. Bungle, einer Band aus seinem Heimatort, die 1985 gegründet wurde und mittlerweile als aufgelöst gilt. Weitere Patton-Bands sind die 1999 gegründete Rock-All-Star-Formation Fantômas mit Schlagzeuger Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Trevor Dunn am Bass (Mr. Bungle) und King Buzzo (The Melvins) und die 2000 gegründete Band Tomahawk, die auf dem von ihm mitbegründeten und betriebenen Label Ipecac Recordings veröffentlicht.
