For sale here is a copy of the 1970 pressing of the "Manfred Mann Chapter Three" album on Vertigo catalogue number VO3 847 902 VTY. As can be seen from the images, it has the large Vertigo swirl but doesn't have the "A Philips Record Product" at the base of the label but does have it on the rear bottom left of the cover. It still has the original Vertigo inner.
The record has been cleaned using the Spin Clean method which has improved the sound quality. The condition of the disc, cover and inner is described below:
Cover  The gatefold sleeve is showing signs of rubbing / wear on the front and rear, along the bottom and on the spine but the titles are still visible (see images). On the inside, at some stage something has stuck just below the song titles which has caused a slight tear on both sides (again, see images). Overall, the cover conservatively grades as VG, perhaps bordering on a VG+. There is no writing, tears or seam splits.
Inner Sleeve  This is the original Vertigo inner sleeve, with the "Plastic Bags Can Be Dangerous" box, British Patent No. and Made In England wording in the bottom left corner (image is of the other side of the sleeve). The polythene liner is still attached but the sleeve has browned with age and has a very, very slight musty smell. As a result, I've placed the disc in a new paper sleeve and the original inner will be in the gatefold.
Disc  The "A" side visually grades as EX, with audio as VG+/EX due to a couple of of minor pops at the beginning. The 'B" side visually grades at VG/VG+ with audio as VG+ due a couple marks starting at the end of track 3, across track 4 and the end of track 5. Elsewhere, the audio would grade as EX. These marks are unfeelable and cause a bit of popping but play through without any sticking or jumping and are only slightly audible. There is also some minor popping at the beginning of the 'B" side.
It will be sent out in a stiff record mailer to the lucky winner recorded delivery, hence the postage cost. Please feel free too ask any questions. Unfortunately, I will be not be shipping internationally.
