Most of the LPs I sell are in "MINT" or "N MINT," showing no signs of ever having been played.

I do not use vinyl grading systems, like Goldmine, which is mostly based on "visual inspection." However, I find it necessary to use the terms "Mint" and "N Mint" mainly because this is what buyers expect to see. (I don't sell LPs that would be rated VG anything below Excellent.)

If I have any doubt as to condition, I test-play on a Revox audiophile linear-tracking turntable.  

I do not grade album cover condition. If a cover has wear or damage, I will show and describe.  

New archival inner sleeves replace old paper sleeves. (I hate paper sleeves, but will include them where possible.)

No extraordinary cleaning measures have been used--washing, solutions, etc.
